Matrix columns
Choose Provider baseline columns, Home additions and temporary extra columns.
Provider Senior Managers set the Matrix columns in Matrix Columns, a collapsed panel at the bottom of the Training Matrix page. Select it to open it.
There are three kinds of column:
| Column | What it is | Where it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Provider baseline | Saved columns that count towards provider gap reporting | Every Home |
| Home / location additions | Saved local columns, kept separate from the baseline | One Home |
| Extra columns | Temporary, view-only columns for evidence checks. They don't change gap counts | The current view only |
Provider baseline
If a course should be reported on everywhere and kept there, add it to the provider baseline:
- Open Training Matrix, scroll to the bottom and open Matrix Columns.
- Under Provider baseline, select Manage. The Included tab lists what's already there.
- Switch to Add to Matrix and search for the course or Learning Path.
- Select Review beside it, read the summary, then select Add.
If you add a Learning Path, every course in it becomes a column, and the columns change when the path's courses change.
Home or location additions
To add a column for one Home only, pick that Home in the Home / location selector at the top and select Apply. Manage then appears under Home / location additions, and adding a course from there works the same way.
Extra columns
To check something once without saving it, use Manage under Extra columns, tick the courses you want, then select Apply to view.
Remove a column
To take a column off, open Manage, go to the Included tab and select Remove. Removing a column only changes what the Matrix shows. Training already assigned stays as it is.
Columns don't assign trainingAdding a course to the Matrix only changes what it reports on. Anyone who hasn't been given the course shows as an assignment gap until you assign it in Assign Training.
